The Torch Passeth Through...

Ok things around here are starting to get pretty giddy, so let's giddyyap.

The Oly Updates.

1.The dog and I patrol the seawall daily, and often chuck a few innings by the roller hockey court at Sunset Beach. About a week ago scaffolding went up at different intervals in the area, and a trench was dug for electrical line. Perplexing this was for the dog and I, until last night when we saw multiple Olympic Bat signals light up the skies over the lower mainland. I think they're ramping up in intensity each night, because as the Spouse and I drove over Burrard Bridge tonight, these lights were spinning in such a controlled chaotic fury that they might summon that huge fucking mothership from Close Encounters Of The Third Kind.

2. Heading to Squamish tomorrow to watch one of the head honchos at the Spouse's office run with torch. Then heading up to Whis to meet Muskoka to watch some good townsfolk also run with the torch. I am expecting/hoping for two things. That the former torchbearer runs her stretch of the Sea To Sky highway with corporate competitive spirit and efficiency. And that the latter is so high that he tries to take a hit off the torch itself.

3. Bob sits in the Capital while the back up gets shelled by the best team in the league. I like this Coach Vigneault. Bob's got a lot on his plate, so why not give him the night off? In the midst of an insane road trip, coupled with only...the weight of having to backstop the home squad in the biggest international sporting even to hit this country in 20 years. Sorry the U18 FIFA World Cup was good and all, but The Games are a bit more marquee.

They even get bright lights.
